Balchem Corporation Acquires Innovative Food Processors, Inc.

New Hampton, New York, June 1, 2017. Balchem Corporation (NASDAQ:BCPC) today announced that it has acquired Innovative Food Processors (IFP), Inc., a privately held manufacturer of agglomerated and microencapsulated food and nutrition ingredients, headquartered in Faribault, Minnesota. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

(Innovative Food Processors) is proud to introduce a new line of Encapsulated Food Ingredients to replace ingredients formerly coated with Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils (PHO’s).  IFP’s Non-PHO encapsulated ingredients include, but are not limited to, Encapsulated Salt, Encapsulated Citric Acid, other Encapsulated Acidulants (Fumaric, Malic, Tartaric, etc), Encapsulated Sodium Bicarbonate, Encapsulated Caffeine, and Encapsulated Ascorbic Acid.  The newly developed Non-PHO coating systems can be applied to almost any dry, free-flowing food ingredient, so don’t hesitate to challenge us!

The agreement solidifies IFP's role as Cargill's primary long-term supplier for the contract manufacturing of Truvia® products.
